There was room for improvement regarding the layout and the way the information was collected and displayed so we came up with a better approach, as fast as possible. http://www.probizbuzz.com (under development) Maine Public Broadcasting Network , US - ASP-VB+DHTML In order to inform the visitors better, the team needed a way to update the local news listings, anytime, from anywhere. The best way to approach that was to build a web application that would give access to the news database.
After logging in, the user is able to add, delete and edit local news listings.
The coolest feature the news professionals were looking for was an easy way to change the sequence of the articles. We came up with the drag and drop version and it proved easy to use and good looking as well. We used The Yahoo! User Interface Library (YUI). Here's a demo. Drag the items by using the arrows on the right side. For obvious reasons we didn't use the real data.
The system is reading the sequence from the data base.

The web site is an ASP based application related to a SQL database.
The albums can be customized so they will accept new pictures. The power user can create new albums, reorganize an album, add pictures and edit the picture description.
